Opportunity happens to all. Its either you take it with both hands or you let it go.
One of the most important opportunities given to us is education. There are some of us who are lucky to be sent to school and there are those of us who did not get this chance. But for us who have gotten the opportunity to be at school do we even know why we are at school? Do we realize the importance of education?
Your guess is as good as mine. Most of those who had the opportunity to go to school from a younger age were no ‘fans’, the ambition to learn was not there.
It starts from a very young age not when you are old and you can make decisions. From the moment your mama or dad wakes you up from bed to the moment you behind the desks. It starts from being a hero by overcoming all the hot and cold, the chill and rainy weather. Yes it starts from a very tender age. That is when a parent can tell what you will become when you are all grown up.
The most annoying thing is for a person to decide to drop out of school. Dropouts are caused by the small silly decisions we as young people take thinking we are doing the right thing. These include being engaged in relationships at a very tender age and at this time we do not know what we are doing really.
One presenter said “Books Before Boys Because Boys Bring Babies” and these are the seven (7) Bs of life. Is that hard to do? Girls and boys are dragged into drug usage thinking it is cool. I am talking about alcohol, dagga, cocaine glue etc. School and drugs do not match. These have nothing in common.
Some say that when you smoke dagga you will have a great memory than anybody else but we do not consider the consequences of smocking. Drugs damage our nervous system. I say “intoxicate to be toxic at what you do” See, life presents us with choices and for us is to choose the right ones so that we do not blame anyone not our parents, sisters and brothers for our mistakes.
In life you have to do the right thing at the right time, because there is time for everything and everything happens for a reason. Those who make the right choices will be in depended, live a happy simple life and prosper. Now, what happens to those who took the wrong path in life?
These people become pests. A pest is disgusting, lives on other animals’ blood and its dependent on others thus cannot provide for itself. Imagine a person who is a pest then. This person will be dependent on other people’s efforts.
The last thing we want to have as a society are criminal in our communities. These people will rob the innocent so to earn a living. Resorting to crime is propelled by different situations, others may feel that they do not have the means to make ends meet; some may say that this is the ‘life’ they live. Just because there were those who were gifted better than them then they are supposed to feed them. This is because these people failed to make the right decisions at a tender age.
Its not the fault of those who have made the right choices in life so why make them suffer your torture and trauma? Crime is not the right way to hustle, seize the opportunity when it is presented to you and do not put the blame on others it is not their fault.
We are not all equally endowed. That is why some fingers are shorter than others. Some people have been delt great blows in their lives and it does not always boil down to just choices. There are intricasies in life that can't be explained.
ReplyDeleteWe will never be equal and opportunities are the same.
That is very important to take note of. We as humans we fail to understand that life is as simple as that, "We are not equally endowed" if we understand that, we can move forward to be better people in life.
